Requires balanced diet of meat and vegetable origins, will accept pellets, flakes, live food, as long as it is small enough for them to eat.
This species can tolerate a bit of temperature variance (both a little lower and a little higher) but they are a tropical species.
pH 6-7, commonly bred in captivity and can handle different pH as well.

They school both at the surface for feeding and in the middle of the tank
Great nano fish, the males once mature will start to display brighter reds and oranges, so it's best to have a mix of males and females in the tank. They get along well with lots of other nano species.
Egg-scatterer
Female will scatter eggs, males will follow behind to fertilize.
